A Star is Born.-- One hell of a game. TJ fit like a glove in that LSU Offense.

This is what I wanted to see from this season. Progress and moving on from last year and getting ready for the future. LSU is very talented but young as it can be. Defensively, there is talent there but the players are just out of position and making glaring mistakes. It isn’t the scheme. There was a play in the 2nd Quarter where Carolina completed a long pass and 2 DBs were both looking around while the WR ran free 5 yards from them. That is not scheme. That is just not knowing your job and in man coverage it should not be that confusing. The Defense is improving but they show their lack of having a Spring and legitimate Fall Camp.

Brennan... Finley... Johnson... Nussmeier... Manning?!?! A) I think we are going to be alright at QB. B) At least one will be entering the transfer portal, and I won't like it, but I will understand.

Finley had one completion which he threw over the middle and it was a frigging dart. I forget who the receiver was but that pass showed his accuracy and his ability to thread the needle. That was an impressive outing by that young man. No doubt about it.

One commentator (Dan Orlovsky) said he thinks Finley should start for LSU the rest of the season. I disagree with that notion but that just further illustrates exactly how good he was in his first start as a true Freshman. QB position is actually a strength for this team and I couldn't be more excited.
