by TD Staff Reporter
December 14, 201621 Comments
It's been a busy week for new LSU offensive coordinator Matt Canada as he reportedly turned down three other OC jobs in the Power 5 over the past 48 hours.
On the flipside, Canada's long-term goal is to be head coach at some point as he interviewed for the head coaching job at East Carolina last year and Western Kentucky this year.
Canada is from New Palestine, Indiana and attended Indiana University. Here is his past coaching experience:
1994 Indiana (GA / QB)
1995 Indiana (GA / TE)
1996 Butler (QB / WR)
1997 Butler (OC)
1998–2000 Northern Illinois (RB)
2001–2002 Northern Illinois (QB)
2003 Northern Illinois (OC / QB)
2004 Indiana (QB)
2005–2006 Indiana (QB / PGC)
2007–2010 Indiana (OC / QB)
2011 Northern Illinois (OC / QB)
2012 Wisconsin (OC / QB)
2013–2015 NC State (OC / QB)
2016 Pitt (OC)
2017–present LSU (OC)
Canada will be formally introduced as LSU's new offensive coordinator Wednesday at 1:30 pm CT.
