Report: LSU Targeting Georgia Pass Game Coordinator, Wide Receivers Coach To Join Staff
by Staff Reporter

Rob Foldy-USA TODAY Sports
As we posted earlier today, Brian Kelly's new on-field coaching staff is just about set with the exception of a new wide receiver coach.
Multiple sources are reporting that LSU's top target to take over the wide receiver job would be Georgia passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton.
Hankton, a native of New Orleans, La., played high school football at St. Augustine and then went on to play collegiately at Texas Southern. He spent several seasons playing in the NFL with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Minnesota Vikings, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Following his time in the NFL, Hankton played two seasons in the UFL.
Hankton began his coaching career as a wide receiver coach for Dartmouth from 2012–2014 and then was the wide receiver coach at Vanderbilt from 2015–2017.
He joined Georgia's staff as a wide receiver coach in 2018 and was promoted to pass-game coordinator & wide receivers coach in 2019.
