Football Scoop is reporting that Brian Kelly is targeting South Carolina defensive line coach Jimmy Lindsey to be LSU's new defensive line coach.

Lindsey would replace Jamar Cain, who left this offseason to join the Denver Broncos coaching staff.

Multiple sources tell FootballScoop that LSU is targeting South Carolina defensive line coach Jimmy Lindsey, and the two sides could reach agreement as soon as this weekend.

Lindsey has coached the Gamecocks' defensive line since 2021, after previously being at Illinois. The former Chattanooga player and coach also has a number of non-Power 5 stops on his career arc.

Not really, no. 20 total sacks last season, 198 rushing yards allowed per game while we had 29 sacks and 148 rushing yards allowed per game.
