LSU running back coach and recruiting coordinator Tommie Robinson has reportedly interviewed with the Cleveland Browns for the RB coach position, according to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport.

Robinson, 54 is set to make $600,000 this year in year two of a three-year deal he signed last season with LSU.

The Phenix City, Ala native also holds the title of assistant head coach.

Getting reports that Cleveland will hire Todd Haley as OC. Not sure why Cleveland interviewed Robinson before they hired Haley. Most coordinators like to have their own staff. But then, this is the Browns. They do things differently than the other teams in the NFL. You know, like draft Johnny (Rehab City) Manziel in the first rd. LMAO I sincerely hope Coach Rob doesn’t get caught up in that freak show!

Wow. I know he doesn't want to be on a sinking shrimp boat, but it can't be as bad as Cleveland.

We have already done a preliminary RB coach search. Turns out have the best RB coach in the country already on staff. He’s our team water engineer.

I'm not really sure that the Browns would be smart enough to hire a person of his caliber.

When you have a shrimp boat captain as a head coach, you need more than one assistant head coach.

Does a RB coach in the nfl make anywhere near 600k? I understand it’s the nfl but I would he even make half that? No recruiting would be a bonus I guess

There’s absolutely nothing you can do about a man wanting to better himself by working his way up. But the Cleveland Browns? Sorry, but that sounds like a demotion! I think we can all agree that is one disfunctional organization! Come back for another year, Tommie, and hold out for a better offer!
