During ESPN's Baton Rouge 104.5 FM's "Culotta & The Prince," radio show on Monday morning Derek Ponamsky said that LSU defensive tackle Travonte Valentine has completed his intersession course and is eligible for the 2016 season. Per The Advocate:

"Travonte Valentine is eligible. Passed his class," Derek Ponamsky said on 104.5 FM's Culotta & The Prince, the station's morning show that begins at 7 a.m.

Valentine is expected to be a significant force at nose tackle for the Tigers in new coordinator Dave Aranda's 3-4 scheme. Coach Les Miles has raved about the Miami native since his arrival, calling him recently "thick, strong and tough to block."
Valentine recently re-joined the team on August 8th.
