During Tuesday mornings Culotta and the Prince radio show on ESPN 104.5 FM Derek Ponamsky said that LSU defensive tackle signee Edwin Alexander has been cleared by the NCAA.

Alexander a four-star prospect from Hammond, LA (St. Thomas Aquinas) has been working to get qualified over the summer. Per The Advocate:

Alexander, a 330-pounder ranked as the ninth-best tackle in the 2016 class, is “full go” after being officially cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse, Culotta & The Prince, a morning radio show on 104.5 PM, announced Tuesday morning. The station is a partner with the university.
LSU is still awaiting news for four-star defensive end Andre Anthony, who has not been cleared yet.

All of the NCAA investigators are out investigating Ole Miss no one is guarding the Clearinghouse everyone will be cleared within two weeks .

LSU gonna have the deepest DL they've had in a while. Loved the days when they would rotate fresh studs in every other play

Since he goes to LSU I think the answer is "Yes." For every other school in the Alabama Athletic Conference (known to us suckers as the SEC), having NCAA clearance is sufficient to play football, but for LSU star recruits there is a special, multi-year, double super secret clearance process...The weaker Alabama's team is looking for the coming season, the more likely they will block an LSU recruit for now reason...he'll likely never see the field.
