Ohio State head coach Ryan Day was asked about Joe Burrow's performance vs. Texas during his weekly press conference on Tuesday.

Ryan said he watched the whole LSU-Texas game and was so proud of the way Burrow played. Per ASAP Sports:
quote:

Question: You stole a glance at the game on Saturday night, LSU at Texas. What is your take on Joe Burrow, how far he's come?

Ryan Day: I watched the whole thing. I couldn't be any proud prouder of a guy than Joe. The way he competed, the way he threw. He's come a long way since his freshman year. I wasn't here when he first got here. Spent a couple years with him. Seeing his mom and dad in the stands, go about beating a good Texas team on the road like that. Couldn't be happier for him.

He's playing at a high level, throwing the ball, looked like an NFL quarterback out there. Really proud of him.

I just have to say, this may not be appropriate for this exact time, but I hope this offensive explosion isn't based on The crap we've been playing against on defense

Bama, Florida, and Auburn will be the best defenses we play from here on out (reg season). I would put UT right behind them. We won't know how far down they are until we play a few games.

Classy comments "I watched the whole thing" most coaches would have never admitted that
