Former LSU Tigers Tyrann Mathieu and Eric Reid were named to the Professional Football Writers of America (PFWA) All-Rookie Team.

Tryann Mathieu was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. In 13 games during his rookie season, Mathieu had 68 tackles, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, and 2 INT's. Mathieu tore both his ACL and LCL in a victory over the St. Louis Rams on December 8th and was placed on the injured reserve December 10th, officially ending his rookie season.

Eric Reid was the 18th overall pick by the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Reid has 77 total tackles and 4 INT's with 49ers this season. Reid and the 49ers face the Seattle Seahawks this Sunday, with the winner moving on to the Superbowl.
