LSU Football Players only meeting
Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports
Following Monday’s practice, seniors La'el Collins and Terrence Magee organized a players only meeting giving teammates a chance to speak up and voice their opinions moving forward.

Following the meeting, a couple of the players gave some insight as to what was said:
quote:

"We wanted to let everybody take the loss their own different way, but today we talked as a team," sophomore cornerback Tre'Davious White said. "We tried to tell everyone to stick together and that we have a lot to play for. The season is long, and anything can happen."

"It was a whole bunch of guys who talked," White said. "It was guys who everyone respects and contribute to the team in a lot of ways."
quote:

“We are just going to try to finish this thing strong,” sophomore linebacker Kendell Beckwith said. “We will just keep pushing and not get down on ourselves. Finish strong.”
The Tiger will play three straight SEC games starting with this Saturday at Florida before heading into their bye week on Nov. 1st.

Maybe the best leadership these seniors like Hillard, Magee, Welter and Martin can do is step aside and let their younger counterparts get the big snaps for the best interests of the team going forward.

I've questioned all along if it was a lack of leadership on the field, or lack of response to those trying to lead.
