LSU will play Notre Dame in the Music City Bowl.
Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports
LSU Sports Information Director Michael Bonnette confirmed Sunday that LSU will play Notre Dame in the Music City Bowl at LP Field in Nashville, Tennessee on Dec. 30. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m and will be televised on ESPN.

LSU's overall record against Notre Dame is 5-5. The two teams last met in the 2006 Sugar Bowl and LSU won that game convincingly 41-14.

This will be LSU’s 46th bowl appearance and 15th straight.

Wow! First day game of the year. BTW, I LOVE to play ND since it gives us yet another chance to beat up on them to remind them how undeserving they were in '71.

I was crying for Texas at first, but I'm warming up to this matchup. I hope we can exploit their losses on defense

Bherm - Did not mean to speak for everyone. I'm just extremely frustrated with this season and I think its ridiculous that this coaching staff can't get this NFL prospect laden team to something better than the Music City Bowl.

fenwick86: I want this season to continue but then again I'm not a giant pussy. Please do not speak for us LSU fans who believe in this team.
