LSU QB Sam Leavitt Shares Positive Update On His Health, Talks Transfer To LSU & More

LSU starting quarterback Sam Leavitt spoke with reporters on Monday for the first time since transferring into the program.
Leavitt answered questions and revealed that he is 100-percent healthy heading into the season:
"I'm 100% right now, and I've been 100% for the past few months," Leavitt said.
"I want to show a lot of love to Dalis (Boyette) and the whole staff, just constantly grinding to get me back."
"My health is something I take very seriously. Whether it's the food I eat, the way I sleep, or the way I recover. It's something I prioritize in my life, on an extreme level. So yeah, I'm ready to go."
Leavitt on the portal process:
"It was pretty crazy. I didn't expect it to go in that direction. When I took my LSU visit, I fell in love with the place and the vision. It's a historic place. Great players come out of here, and you get a chance to go against top-tier players in practice."
"It's a special situation for me to be in, to grind every single day and get better. To be with this staff, it's a situation where I don't see how anyone could pass it up."
Leavitt says Trey'Dez Green 'always puts a smile' on his face:
"What a special human, and then you see him on the field, and it's just a 'wow' factor. You put the ball near him, and he's going to make a play."
Leavitt on coming to Louisiana:
"The people are great in Louisiana. The passion is incredible. It makes you want to be here even more. It's just been a blessing being here."
"I'm from Oregon; Louisiana kinda felt almost fake to me in a way. I didn't think it was a real place."
