LSU freshman offensive lineman Donavaughn Campbell announced on Twitter that he will be having surgery on his shoulder Wednesday and is expected to miss the Citrus Bowl on Dec. 31.

It is unclear as to how he injured his shoulder.

The 6-4, 340-pounder from Ponchatoula played in four games this season as a true freshman and is expected to compete for the starting guard spot next year.

Wishing you a full and speedy recovery big man! 340 lb. linemen are what we need to take care of Bama. Coach O making good on his promise to get bigger and stronger. Grimes deserves props too. Got some real Hogs in this years class! (I know Campbell is from last years class.)
