LSU offensive tackle KJ Malone will start in Monday’s Citrus Bowl against Notre Dame, according to head coach Ed Orgeron. Per The Advocate:
quote:

It will be Malone's first playing time since he injured the patellar tendon in his left knee in the first quarter of the win Oct. 7 at Florida. He returned to that game for one drive in the second half before pulling himself because of the aching tendon, which connects the lower leg bone with the kneecap.

“He’s fine, ready to play,” Orgeron said. “He’s practiced all week and should be fine.”

With 77 committing 2 or 3 penalties....KJ should have started and played more.

Great for KJ, but the O line sure got better as the season went along with S.C. in that spot.....I'm just sayin

These comments make me wonder why any kid would want to play for our fans... embarrassing.

You give him the honor of starting because he is a 5th year senior who put his life on hold to come back and play another year for LSU. He also lost his starting job due to injury. Doesn't mean he has to play every single play. The other OL understand and respect the decision and would appreciate the same in his situation. It shows loyalty.

Happy to see KJ back for his final game. A true team player in every way. If he can play, I would start him and rotate out as needed. We have some fine young starters but this is KJ’s last game and he deserves it. And besides that, if he doesn’t start, the Mailman gonna hurt somebody! Geaux Tigers!

I don't know if I'd fck up the starting line right now. I hope it's to come off the bench in needed. Great Tiger, but the Oline finished strong and I want us to ride that momentum.
