Highly touted defensive tackle Travonte Valentine has been cleared by the NCAA and LSU, but the Southeastern Conference has not yet ruled him eligible for game play.

LSU coach Les Miles provided a brief update on Valentine during his radio show on Wednesday night.

Valentine has been practicing with the team.

I bet if he played at Alabama he would be cleared.

This is a lot of crap. NCAA cleared him then he should be cleared. This another reason the SEC offices should be moved to Atlanta and off of the campus of Alabama where the make up of the people who work there are all Alabama. Until this happens, crap like this will continue.

Thanks a lot, SEC. We could have used Valentine this year.

I agree with TheCaterpillar. I also think they need to make some rules about posting links to Twitter without quoting the content.

This is absolutely ridiculous that he can be cleared by the NCAA and still not be cleared by the SEC.

Of course, the SEC office is in Alabama. They are going to drag their feet.

If he is that big and fast... Holy jeebus. I would have to see him play, but Les Miles basically just gave him a spot on, two-point description of Vince Wilfork. One can only hope...

Again, Larry, please put transcripts under these videos. YouTube and video's are blocked at the workplace for hundreds of TD members.
