Following LSU's 29-9 win over Louisville in the Citrus Bowl on New Years Eve, defensive line coach Jete Jenkins said he will be back with the staff in 2017. Per The Advocate:
quote:

“Ed (Orgeron) and I have talked about it. I’m coming back next year,” Jenkins said. “I’ve told him after that we just play it by ear, year by year, see how I feel this time next year. Just kind of see how I’m rolling.”

Orgeron pulled Jenkins out of retirement when he became the interim head coach on Sept. 25 after the firings of coach Les Miles and offensive coordinator Cam Cameron. Orgeron said last month that he expected Jenkins to return to the staff next season.

Good for LSU to have him another year. I'm sure Aranda had influence.

Good news. Actually, this was reported last week. But still good news. Just have a backup for down the road and keep the train rolling!

Orgeron will recruit the DL as far as on the road but when they get here ole Pete will take over, then you have camps where he will do most of his damage in recruiting. After they see the difference in his coaching and others they will want to play for the man. GT

We are still going to need another full time recruiter on the road out of this staff; keep waiting for word to break on who else Orgeron brings to the staff.
