LSU head coach Les Miles spoke with reporters on Monday about tight end Dillon Gordon who is awaiting news on whether or not he will be granted a fifth season of eligibility.

Miles said the decision will likely not happen before Spring Practice ends but that Gordon is healthy enough to play now.

Gordon played in LSU's 2015 opener against Mississippi State but left the Tigers' second game of the season against Auburn with a left achilles tendon injury. He re-injured the same achilles we he returned for LSU's 35-28 victory against Florida on Oct. 17.

Here is video of coach Miles talking about Gordon at LSU's Pro Day on Monday:

I fail to see why this would take that long. It seems like it should be a pretty simple decision to make

He plays for LSU not Bama so its a much more difficult decision. Ask Trevonte and Childs.

you never know what the NCAA will decide. The decision is hardly ever in the best interest of the athlete

From the video, Les appears to be looking for the answer on the ceiling.

Why not let him go ahead and be practicing as if he'll get it, since he's healthy.
