Former LSU coach Les Miles made his first public appearance on The Dan Patrick Show Monday morning since it was announced a day before that he had been fired.

During the interview, Miles indicated that he plans to coach again and "supports" LSU's decision to fire him.

What a ride we had with the HAT...loved it & hated it...its sad to see it end, but it's time for a change, & it's apparent it wasn't going to happen with him at the wheel...

I wish him the best. He did give us some "Mad Hatter" memories, but this was the best decision for LSU moving forward. There is simply too much talent on this roster to be 2-2 and unranked. And you can say it's the player on the field, but Les Miles was being paid a whole lot of money to get them prepared to play and that simply wasn't happening. LSU was being out coached every week. Change needed to happen. It's time for a new identity and a new direction.

Lol, knowing how he's dodged bullets throughout his tenure at LSU I wouldn't even be surprised if that happened.
