Fournette was named a consensus All-American, the NCAA announced Thursday. To receive the honor, a player must appear on the first team of at least two of the five selected All-America squads: American Football Coaches Association, Associated Press, Football Writers Association of America, The Sporting News and the Walter Camp Foundation.
Fournette earned first team All-America honors from the AP, Football Writers and Walter Camp. He was also a second team selection by The Sporting News.

He broke Charles Alexander’s single-season LSU rushing record this year with 1,741 yards and 18 touchdowns.
