Joe Burrow passed for 471 yards and four touchowns as sixth-ranked LSU (2-0) defeated ninth-ranked Texas, 45-38, on the road. Burrow completed 31-of-39 passes and his 471 passing yards were the second-most single-game total in LSU history.

Notes: Joe Burrow is the ninth LSU player to receive Walter Camp National Player of the Week honors since 2004, and the first since former Tiger running back Derrius Guice (Nov. 27, 2016).
