Coach Les Miles and a few LSU players, including Leonard Fournette, took to Twitter on Monday night to voice their opinion about Fournette being left off as a Heisman candidate.

Former LSU star Patrick Peterson also chimed in with this response later on:

Sad that the O-Line let him down in November. Hopefully they will improve in the off-season and Fournette will just get bigger and stronger. Heisman in 2016 will be a very realistic goal next year.

Has anyone really looked at the list of Heisman voters?
They have a say so because many of them won it, not because they are particularly intelligent.

LF7 too pretty to be on tv unless he wins it, anyway. No bride ever has a prettier bridesmaid.

Derrick Henry will be at the Heisman ceremony because his team is in the playoff and he didn't get held to 31 yards (not saying it was Fournette's fault) in his biggest showcase game.

It wouldn't have mattered how many 4th quarter blowout yards Fournette got and would have been stupid to take the risk of him getting hurt or wearing down just to pile up meaningless yards.

Didn't finish the strong? expectations got way too high when totally 180 yds isn't enough.

Don't know why the shock. Lf didn't finish the season strong and not on elite team. Besides, why go to a party where you can't be king. Use this snub an anger and motivation for next year.

Although I am glad Les will remain head coach, I blame him for this. You know that he was the front runner for the Heisman. But you sitting him for the majority of the fourth quarter?. That's the one thing I hate about Les. Once he has a decent lead he coast the rest of the way instead of proceeding with the blowout. You never see the great coaches call the dogs off. Les always does. Saban, as much as I hate him, never does that regardless of how big the lead is. He beats on teams for four quarters. He never pulled Derrick Henry. That why he will be at the Heisman ceremony and that's why he will win it. Insult to injury.....
