Florida defensive back Chauncey Gardner-Johnson spoke to the media on Monday and was asked about this Saturday's upcoming matchup vs. LSU.

According to Gardner-Johnson, its the biggest game of the year for both teams. Per 247 Sports:

There's no love lost between the two. And no beating around the bush about the significance of this one.

"It’s the biggest game of the year for both teams," nickelback Chauncey Gardner-Johnson said.
While the LSU-Florida matchup has always been a good one, it's tough to say that its the biggest game of the year for the Tigers, especially with No. 1 Alabama and No. 2 Georgia still on the schedule this season.

Read an article on 247 that Florida's Grimes, a WR that played with Burrow at OSU, doesn't think Burrow can make the plays he's been making on their defense, and that he isn't as good as Franks, who they've been practicing against, anyway.

We should treat every game as the biggest game of the year. That’s how u win championships

You better hope our Tigers feel it's their biggest game of the year going into this weekend, or it won't turn out good for us.

It counts as one, and it’s a big challenge. I think players and fans alike should treat this as the biggest game of the year until the final whistle blows. Florida is looking for revenge. We need to keep climbing that mountain. Everything means a little more if you stay on track and keep taking care of business. So yes, right now, I agree with his point of view and hope our players feel the same!

When I played/coached, we always looked at our next game as the biggest that season. I’m going to assume that’s what he’s talking about. If so, I agree.

Id actually argue its the 5th biggest for us. The others being Georgia, Bama, Auburn, and Miami. All are ranked higher and considered better teams. Florida isnt even in contention for the East

Whether it's the biggest game for the Tigers or not, UF is clearly locked in on the importance.
