Per LSUSports: Four members of the LSU football team, including three who were part of the 2019 national championship team, earned their college degree on Friday.

LSU held its annual spring commencement on Friday at various locations across campus.

The list of football graduates also includes former offensive lineman Toby Weathersby, who returned to school after three years of professional football, to earn his degree. Weathersby, a two-year starter for the Tigers in 2016 and 2017, graduated with a degree in interdisciplinary studies.

Other football graduates include Jontre Kirklin (sports administration), Evan Francioni (finance) and Hunter Faust (construction management).

Kirklin recently signed a free agent contract with the Arizona Cardinals after a five-year career with the Tigers that saw him shine on both sides of the football. His most notable game came against Kansas State in the Texas Bowl in January when he moved from wide receiver to start at quarterback for the Tigers. In that contest, he threw three touchdown passes and led LSU with 61 rushing yards.

Francioni, a wide receiver who has another year of eligibility remaining, is a two-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll. He’s appeared in 25 games in three years with the Tigers.

Faust, a two-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll, has appeared in six games during his career at LSU.

I’m very happy for these kids that graduated, but it’s disgusting that there are only four.

and one is in Sports Administration and one is in Interdisciplinary Studies. Look, graduating is an accomplishment and i salute all of them, but come on, study something legitimate, guys. It’s free and potentially life-changing. Don’t let the football admin stick you in a BS major.

The athletic department steers them towards the useless majors.

Congrats to Jontre. Because of the Texas Bowl, he'll always be one of my favorite Tigers.

Kirklin will go down as a legend similar to Travis Daniels and Jacob Hester because of his selflessness

Kirk Lin is such a player. He sacrificed much during his career bouncing around. It will earn him time in the league I think and hopefully have a career similar to gage and work his way up to a big contract. Such a team guy, coaches can count on him and I think that translates to everything in life

With the covid bonus year, we probably started 2021 with the most already graduated players.
