Former LSU wide receiver Russell Gage spent some time working at cornerback during the Atlanta Falcons rookie camp this week, according to AJC.com:

Gage, a native of Baton Rouge, played cornerback during his first two seasons at LSU before switching to wide receiver. He was drafted by the Falcons in the 6th round of the NFL Draft.
quote:

“I thought OK, why not take a look,” coach Dan Quinn said. “He’s such a good competitor. He said ‘yep, whatever you need coach.’ So we knew we’d try him one day at receiver, one day at corner just to make sure. He’s a hell of a competitor, so I’m anxious to go back and look at it today.”

This oung man maximized his opportunity at LSU. In an age of instant gratification or transfer he remained loyal to the Tigers and waited his chance to start. He developed his receiving skills while excelling on special teams. Russel will continue to devlop and become aproductive NFL player and a great value pick,

Well friend the NFC South is flooded with ex LSU players looks like everybody is well aware of the talent in Baton Rouge except for our beloved HC Sean "fricking" Payton. Hopefully C/OG Will Clapp will convince Payton to draft more LSU Tigers. And I could never ever root for the Falcants or the Panthers neither the Buccs I support all ex Tigers just not when they play against my New Orleans Saints.
