During Tuesday's Zoom press conference, head coach Ed Orgeron talked about how impressed he is with senior linebacker Jabril Cox.

Cox, a two-time All-America linebacker at North Dakota State, signed with LSU this past April to play his senior season with the Tigers.

He helped the Bison win three FCS National Championships during his time there, recording 258 tackles, 32 tackles for loss, 14 sacks, six interceptions and scored two defensive TDs.

I think Jabril is gonna be Pelini’s version of Ali Highsmith. Dude is going to be all over the field, very excited to see what he does this year. Might help keep the trend of Tiger Linebackers drafted in the first round :pimp: LBU

I think he could be a mauler for a season. I'm cool with mercenaries when they're this talented

Arguably the best player in all of D2, and we get him for a year. Amazing.

He did not play in D2. But I can’t wait to see him in action. Seems like a smooth transition to FBS
