Aranda just wrapped up his fourth season as LSU's defensive coordinator and signed a 4-year, 2.5 million dollar contract in 2017. His current deal makes him the highest-paid assistant in College Football.

The 43-year old coach from Redlands, Calif. came to LSU in 2016 after serving as the defensive coordinator at Wisconsin from 2013–2015.

Good luck, Dave. We are forever grateful...unless you pull a dick move and return to the SEC West

Maybe he will leave behind that waterproof baseball warm-up jacket he always wears during games, it is glorious and I can’t seem to find it anywhere

This is what happens when you become the king of the mountain. I just hope we bring in someone who runs the same defense. I’d hate for our defensive stars to have to learn a whole new system.

Dave is a good guy. He deserves the best. Won us a national championship and stayed when les miles left.

Matt Rhule has fricked us. Takes Brady, gives Aranda an opening, and now if they trade Cam to move up and draft Burrow the Saints are gonna have to deal with Brady/Burrow/McCaffery for years to come

No he did us a favor. Defense was mediocre, and we were paying way too much for mediocrity.we can find anybody to give up 200 rushing to a white boy from ole miss. Meanwhile we save millions of dollars, and they pass that on to folks like raymond and cregg who have earned it

Only question that matters: Will he wear the hoodie-vest

Wish him nothing but success. Would be so sweet to see him beat Texas and OU.

Meanwhile esteemed coaches like Brent Venables from Clemson continue to remain in the ranks of coordinators. Wonder why that is??

Championships means attrition. Good luck coach! Frickin Rhule cost us Brady and Aranda! Just another reason to hate the Panthers.

Good luck, but in my opinion, he is not head coach material. He doesn't have a dynamic personality, he is not a particularly dynamic recruiter, and he is not a people person. I think he will inevitably be miserable being a head coach and if he is miserable, then he will ultimately fail.

I don’t see Dave giving a fiery halftime or pregame speech. Or holding weekly coaches shows and taking calls.....but good luck lol
