Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports
LSU senior quarterback Danny Etling spoke to the media during SEC Spring Meetings on Wednesday and said that this is the best he's felt in a year and a half, following back surgery shortly he had in April.
quote:

"I feel great," Etling said. "Honestly it's the best I've felt in about a year and a half. I still have about three weeks left of rehab."

"I've played a while on it and it's been nagging me quite a long time. To finally pinpoint what was wrong and get that extracted was incredible."

Say what you want about any of his performances in the realm of talent, he's been one of the toughest QB's I've ever seen play.

I agree Ripley. He took shots from big time SEC defenses last year and only missed 1 snap! And now we find out he had a bad back! A lesser individual would not have lasted. I'll take guts over assumed talent any day. Remember Jacob Hester? Guts = Championships!

I'm going to love watching Etling make so many negative commenters eat their words this year! Geaux for it, Danny!

That's the same thing Tiger Woods said after his last survey.

Etling is also half of Tigers age and his personal life isn't a complete mess.

Who cares. He better perform if not he can rest his back on the bench.
