@ easy money - you're right, in a sense. Preseason rankings do matter way to much to the end result. However, by seasons end, it ALWAYS shakes itself out correctly. If LSU beats bama and wins the SEC West and then the SEC, they'll be in. Everything else is truly irrelevant at that point.

Same comment for Bama and Florida.

LSU is actually getting robbed in the rankings because of preseason ranks. As of now, they have the best resume' out of any team ranked in the top 10. Baylor and TCU have a great schedule remaining so a loss will not move them down very far and a win will justify them being there, but they really have no right to be ahead right now. Ohio State has not deserved that ranking either, but they look far better with Barrett. Based on what has actually been accomplished in the season, LSU should be top 2. They will have a chance to control all of that, but it seems ridiculous that the only 2 teams with credible victories (LSU and Clemson) find themselves behind Baylor and Ohio State. Can we just have the rankings be based on what has actually been accomplished rather than where a team was ranked preseason and using a crystal ball to determine what we think is going to happen?
