LSU head coach Brian Kelly spoke with reporters on Tuesday and provided updates on several players during the bye week.

Kelly said that cornerback Zy Alexander and defensive tackle Mekhi Wingo will "miss some time" with lower body injuries. Kelly did not specify if they will miss the Alabama game in two weeks but said they are not practicing now.

Alexander suffered an injury during the Army game and did not return. Wingo did not play vs. the Black Knights because of a lingering injury.

Kelly also commented on cornerback transfers Duce Chestnut and Denver Harris, who are currently inactive. Both players are still on scholarship and enrolled in school but cannot play or practice right now, Kelly said.

Kelly added that freshman cornerback Ashton Stamps is healthy and ready to play.

Stamps, along with Javien Toviano, Jeremiah Hughes, and Laterrance Welch, are all in the mix at the cornerback spot.

Time to cut ties with both Harris and Duce. Pick up some decent bodies in the portal and hope that Jk Johnson has been paying attention in the team meetings and will be legit for us next year.

Still no news on Marlon Martinez, and none of the reporters ever asked about him going down after he took a knee to the helmet.

both are still acting like high school guys. Think their grades dont'matter. No one is getting passes anymore. Just actually go to classes. Texas Am got tired of Denver Harris attitude. Send them down the road.

I am fine punting Harris and Chestnut. Both should’ve been grateful for the opportunity
