Following LSU's 42-10 win over South Alabama on Saturday, head coach Brian Kelly was asked about wide receiver Chris Hilton, who has yet to play this season due to an injury.

Last week, Kelly was hopeful Hilton would return on Saturday, but ultimately, he did not play vs. South Alabama.
quote:

"I think this has been more about getting somebody at 100% rather than at 85, 90%,” Kelly said.

“We could’ve had him out there tonight but we want him at 100%. And there was no sense in getting him out there tonight. We felt like we had enough firepower, and we want him at 100%.”

He is fine. They are saving him for Ole miss game. He is a huge vertical threat. Coach wouldn't publicly lie about a serious injury. Quit starting drama

I’m starting to wonder if Hilton will play at all this year. Coaches never admit when someone has a bad injury. It’s always “he’s a bit nicked up” as Miles used to say all the time.

They admitted Perkins had a serious injury. And Guillory.

Dollars to donuts, at next week's presser BK will say he tweaked it during practice and is unavailable. Gotta keep a lid on that 6 game suspension.
