LSU star cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. is "very questionable" for the Mississippi State game on Saturday after he re-injured his ankle in practice this week, Ed Orgeron announced Thursday.

The injury is the same one that Stingley Jr. battled during fall camp before the season started.

Orgeron added that sophomore Dwight McGlothern would be the next man up if Stingley is unable to play. Cordale Flott could also be an option to replace Stingley.

Tua can break his fricking ankle or injure it so bad they put fricking rods in and he played a couple weeks later. WTH is going on here

No worries. Play zone. Keep everything in front of you. Make them earn every first down. Don’t give up the big chunks. Their defense won’t stop LSU either. 41-31 LSU.

NIL needs to be allocated based on games available

For better or for worse, NIL is outside of the NCAA and individual teams’ control. Or their circus, not their monkeys. If they tried, it would likely create all sorts of Title 9 issues and probably worse

I hate this for the team, sting looked hungry for redemption last game and now this. He had some lingering injuries last year so lets hope that this injury heals thoroughly. and stop with all the hating damnit, Stingley has been beneficial to LSU overall. I know hes had some mental mistakes but his talent allows for us to compete with everybodys #1 WR. When hes on the field of course

He's soft. His days at LSU are over, you could see this coming.

When I bring up Moffit, the idiots here call me stupid. But look around at the SEC and no one touches the amount of players we have hurt. It's not even close. Go check ourlads.com and you can see how bad it is. Someone will say, yeah it's a physical game. We'll it is for Florida, TAMU, and the gumps and they do not have the extent of injuries we do.

is it a LPO ankle injury? Leach Passing Offense
user avatar
What if Coach O knows he can't beat Leach even with Stingley on the field, so he's pleaded with him to sit out, so that Ponamsky & Friends can spin it to save his job next week? I'd buy that conspiracy before thinking Stingley was scared of the competition

Doing wonders for his draft stock. Every pro team wants a corner made of glass. Dumbass

Next man up LSU, injuries happen. Hope it's not serious.

We can beat them without him. Flott is much better Ward is back, use Jones in coverage. Just make adjustments, yeah I know guys, and we'll win.

Unreal seems like every week we have 3 or 4 major injuries. With this depth this is not looking good.

This dude is about to turn one year (plus a few good plays here and there) of really good football into a top ten pick. He has all the talent and ability in the world, but it is all for not if he isn't on the field.
