LSU junior edge rusher Arden Key will have surgery this week to repair his broken pinky finger which has been injured for some time.

Key has been playing through the injury, wearing a cast and bandages for the past two months. He is expected to recover from the surgery in time for LSU's bowl game.

For those keeping track, Key was slowed down at the beginning of the season because of shoulder surgery, played through a broken finger during four SEC games, and injured his knee vs. Arkansas on Nov. 11th.

Ronnie Lott is no longer available. I wish Arden well on the next level. He should have a nice career.

I wonder if he will actually play in the bowl game or bypass it to get ready for the combine? Either way, I wish him well and hope he doesn’t have a recurrence of injuries which plagued him this year. And if he wants to return for his senior season, I’m sure you would all join me in welcoming him back wholeheartedly, right?
