AP writer Ralph D. Russo is predicting No. 18 Auburn the upset No. 13 LSU on Saturday in Death Valley. Here is what he had to say in his latest article:
quote:

No. 18 Auburn gets a shot at redemption at No. 13 LSU after dodging what would have been a historic upset last week.

"No, it makes no difference to me whatsoever," LSU coach Les Miles said, dismissing last week's Auburn struggles against FCS Jacksonville State.

No. 18 Auburn (plus 7½) at No. 13 LSU

Sports are weird ... UPSET SPECIAL, AUBURN 28-23.

Kickoff between LSU and Auburn is set for 2:30pm on Saturday and the game will be televised on CBS.

What's your prediction for the game?

Two weeks ago Auburn was a favorite for the national championship and its QB a favorite for the Heisman. Now Auburn is the big underdog. Interesting.

Based on what exactly?

"Auburn gets a shot at redemption" WTF? Why is Auburn all of a sudden supposed to be this defeated soul ready to prove they are better? They've been lucky to win both games against some truly bad teams (well Jack St would be a bad FBS team). Tired of seeing that crap.

Weren't we the ones who lost by 34 last year to these bastards? Didn't they make the entire team look like crap especially Harris and the defense? Nick Marshall looked like Michael Vick on the field last year. Time for some payback. Don't care if they get Lawson and Matthews back, I want to see an arse whooping courtesy of LSU.

42-17 and I hope they make it worse.

This is the same AP guy that picked LSU to lose to Mississippi State last week. He doesn't know any more about picking the winner of this game than the more knowledgable posters on this site do. If the game were at Auburn I might be inclined to agree, but Les Miles LSU teams are tough to beat in Tiger Stadium. No question Auburn will play better than they did last week but LSU 35-23.

I hope we blow them out!

I do believe Auburn will come out highly energetic and disrupt LSU's offensive and defensive rhythm while bolting out to a first QUARTER lead, but then the game settles down and LSU beat them down slowly but effectively and the score at the end of the game will not reflect how bad it could of been. LSU 31-17

Auburn looked like a PAC12 team last week....LSU gets 250+ rushing, 500 offense? 34-10 LSU!

Upset Special ? I'm guessing you're basing this off of rankings and Auburn ' poor performance last week. Based on the a kicking last year the team keeping the passing game vanilla this past week LSU is underdog in this game. With all that being said is not much of an upset for either team. They're pretty much evenly matched. LSU Tigers win 34-17

And two weeks ago LSU was going to struggle against Auburn...

If JJ was throwing picks left and right against Jacksonville State, just wait till Key is running him down.
