49ers Sign Glenn Dorsey To Contract Extension
by TD Staff Reporter
August 20, 20142 Comments
On Tuesday, former LSU defensive lineman Glenn Dorsey signed a two-year contract extension with the San Francisco 49ers that will keep him with the team through 2016.
Per 49ers.comquote:
“Glenn is a true pro who has quickly become a valued contributor to our organization both on and off the field,” said 49ers general manager Trent Baalke. “He is a quick study and a very good football player that has earned this extension, and we look forward to his future contributions.”
During his first season with San Francisco in 2013, Dorsey appeared in all 16 regular season games (13 starts), in addition to the team’s three (two starts) postseason contests. He recorded two sacks, tallied 100 tackles for the first time in his career and helped the team rank fourth in rushing yards allowed per game (95.9) in the NFL.
He was also selected by his coaches and teammates as the 49ers Defensive Blue Collar Player of the Year.
