Jayden Anding is staying home.

The four-star safety from Ruston announced his commitment to LSU on Tuesday, choosing the Tigers over Ole Miss and giving LSU another major in-state recruiting win in the 2027 class.

Anding, the younger brother of LSU cornerback Aidan Anding, will now follow his sibling to Baton Rouge. He becomes LSU’s first safety commitment in the 2027 class and adds another talented defensive back to Corey Raymond’s recruiting haul.

One of Louisiana’s top defensive prospects, Anding has been a priority target for the Tigers throughout his recruitment. His pledge continues LSU’s recent momentum on the recruiting trail as the staff keeps more of the state’s top talent at home.

Anding's verbal pledge gives LSU 16 commitments for the class of 2027.
