Once the contact period for recruiting opened up on Sunday night, LSU coaches didn't waste anytime visiting the top prospects and current LSU commits around the south.

That included four-star running back Devin White from Springhill, LA (North Webster) who received a visit on Monday night from running back coach/recruiting coordinator Frank Wilson and tight end coach Steve Ensminger.

White, a 6-0, 245-pound prospect from North Webster HS is rated the No. 5 athlete in the country and the No. 7 overall player from the state of Louisiana, according to 247 Sports. The Tigers are one of his top schools, along with Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida State, and Ole Miss.

For more info on White, visit his profile page on our Recruiting Tracker.

I thought he was arrested at school a couple of weeks ago for sexual assault? It sounded like a Jeremy Hill situation. Consensual, but the age difference the issue. This was probably more of a keep in touch visit, rather than hard push for a commitment. I wonder if any other schools have backed off of him.

If he's from Springhill, La. he is a good kid and can only get bigger and stronger at LSU. Thanks to Steve and Frank !

Is this kid really 245 lbs? That seems awfully big for a RB in High School, thought maybe that was a typo but maybe not.
