Talented 2020 Junior College defensive end Ali Gaye formally announced his commitment to LSU on Monday afternoon.

Gaye spent the weekend on LSU's campus and gave his verbal pledge to coach Ed Orgeron on Sunday.

Gaye, a 6-6, 270-pound prospect from Edmonds, Washington, currently attends Garden City Community College in Garden City, Kansas. He is the nation's No. 5-ranked JUCO strong-side defensive end, according to 247Sports.

Gaye is LSU's 18th verbal commitment for the class of 2020 and the third defensive end committed to the Tigers, joining 4-star prospects Demon Clowney from Baltimore, Maryland, and Alec Bryant from Pearland, Texas.

He needs to get his pad level down but I like his speed and height, and of course, the recruiting services don't rate most JUCOs, so they will just give him a standard three-star rating. Needless to say, I trust the coaching staff far more than I trust 247 who hates LSU.
