LSU head coach Ed Orgeron stopped by Carter High School in Dallas, TX on Wednesday and offered four-star weakside defensive end Jarell Cherry.


The 6-3, 228-pound prospect is rated the No. 5 weakside defensive end in the country and the No. 12 overall player from the state of Texas for the class of 2018, according to Rivals.

LSU currently has four verbal commitments for the class of 2018 in linebacker Damone Clark, cornerback Nadab Joseph, and athletes Kelvin Joseph and Caden Sterns.

Holy chit this boy looks like a future beast, would look really good in PG. he's going to get much bigger also. You can tell he's going to put on some weight and possibly get taller. I just love the prospects O gets after, he goes after men, not boys but freakn men. This boy is going to be a man. I know O is loving wearing that big bad LSU on his shirt with HC next to it.
