LSU is the latest school to offer talented 2018 four-star linebacker Teradja Mitchell from Virginia Beach, VA.

He reported his offer on Twitter Thursday and described LSU as one of his "favorite college football teams."

Mitchell, a 6-2, 223-pound prospect from Bishop Sullivan Catholic HS holds offers from many elite college football programs like Florida State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia and Michigan as well as others.

He is rated the No. 1 inside linebacker in the country and the No. 1 overall player from the state of Virginia for 2018, according to 247Sports.

He would be a great commitment. Unless he just wants to stay home, I doubt any team in VA will be able to offer him a better opportunity. But this is far down the line. The season is right around the corner. Let's focus on getting the National Title.

I will never understand this "star" system. Rated the No.1 player at his position in the entire country but is only a 4 star?
