LSU running back commit Derrius Guice announced on Twitter Tuesday night that he was re-opening his recruitment.
quote:

“I’ve decided to reopen my recruitment again!! Now who shall get my five official visits.”
The four-star prospect from Baton Rouge, LA later added this:
quote:

"LSU is and will always be my first love! Just need to first view all my options before the final decision. I'm still a tiger no doubt."
Through six games at Catholic High this season, Guice has rushed for 793 yards and 13 touchdowns. He holds offers from Alabama, Texas, ULL, and Southern Miss as well as others.

LSU has a stable of backs, so this does not really come as a surprise to me. What would surprise me is if Nick Broussette didn't do the same. Both are monsters that would compete for time at almost any D1 school, but may not get many carries at LSU as freshmen.

Oh, I guess you're right jg8623. Kevin Franklin finished Catholic with decent credentials and actually earned a degree. Guice will not. He is frankly, a little indecisive. Yes, he is fast but, will not project past next fall camp. Brossette ten times better.

@TOKEN, you are a moron. Don't need my ass. Did you know that the other RB we have committed is also taking visits to Notre Dame and Texas?

@Vernonbrew22, not only is all that stuff you said ridiculous and going overboard, but the other RB you mention, is also taking trips. He seems more likely to leave the nest than Guice.

I'd rather them take their visits first and leave no doubt before committing, but like everybody else in the world, they are human and wishy-washy. This isn't a kid thing either, because many adults do the same as well.

Can't blame the kid for wanting to travel and see what's out there, to be catered to and feel important. I still think he'll end up at LSU in the end.

This guy smells of trouble. Kicked out of CHS last spring then reinstated by the pope this summer. He is good for HS level but average for college backs. About like Kevin Franklin or Mr. Loranger trouble maker. The other RB is so much better and committed to LSU to compete.

Token, it's fans like you who people can't stand. Yes LSU does need him. You can't tell me or anyone on here that this wouldn't be a better team without him. He's a stud. Stock the stable and run em till the defense quits.

Go have fun on the official visits. Get treated like a rock star. Heck, I would too. In the end, be a LSU Tiger.
