Four-star safety Brandon Jones from Nacogdoches, TX announced his top six schools via twitter over the weekend and LSU is still in the mix.

Jones, a 5-11, 185-pound prospect from Nacogdoches High School is the No. 1 safety in the country for the class of 2016 according to ESPN, 247, and Scout. Here is what he had to say about LSU, per ESPN.com:

Mr Jones is an excellent communicator. All his responses are very well written and sincere. I hope Brandon Jones becomes a Tiger. He would be a great ambassador for LSU on and off the field for years to come. Louisiana kids would find a great role model in this young man!
