Elite five-star LSU wide receiver commit Rakim Jarrett announced on Twitter that he will be signing on National Signing Day in February.

Jarrett has been committed to LSU since April but is not allowed to sign early this week due to certain rules at his St. John's College High School.

The 6-0,195-pound prospect from Washington, D.C. is rated the No. 2 receiver in the country for the class of 2020, according to Rivals, 247Sports, and ESPN.

U High in Baton Rouge is same way. This is one reason they have lost some guys like Moses to IMG so they can get the extra semester on a college campus.

I understand a school not letting a student graduate early, but how can a high school not allow a student to sign a national letter of intent during the early signing period? It does not make sense.
