Elite Louisiana running back Harlem Berry will be announcing his college commitment on Dec. 18, with LSU, Florida, and Texas as his top schools.

Berry, a 5-11, 175-pounder from Metairie, La. (St Martin's Episcopal School), is the No. 1 player from Louisiana for the class of 2025 and the No. 1 running back in the country, according to multiple recruiting sites.

He was on LSU's campus this past weekend for the Florida game.

Hate to be that guy! Just don't think this kid is priority #1. Seen him for 3 years now in our district. Very good, yes. But just bigger stronger and faster than the kids in this classification. Not sure he isn't just another guy in 5A

The #1 RB recruit in the nation is a recruit you definitely have to keep instate. This guy could be special. I don’t care about his competition. He can play

I have seen Derek Stingley Jr do the same so I believe you take that chance.

Hopefully he's just using those other schools to negotiate a higher salary here.

Sure wish these gifted athletes would feel some loyalty to their home state and help the purple and gold to pursue a national championship!

I saw him play in person earlier this year. Level of competition aside, he is every bit as advertised.
