Per LSUSports.com: MAUI, HAWAII--LSU freshman Tremont Waters dropped 39 points, but it was not enough as the LSU men's basketball team fell to Marquette in its final game of the Maui Invitational, 94-84, Wednesday night.

The Tigers return to action Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. against UT Martin.

Waters scored the most points in a game since Ben Simmons dropped 43 against North Florida in Dec. 2015. He also set the record for the most points by a Tiger in the Maui Invitational early in the second half. The previous high was Duane Spencer who had 26 against Iowa in 1996.

Without Sampson Tremont Waters is the only offensive threat,Next year the Tigers will add some more fuel to the fire,Coach is only playing with the hand that was dealt him.

That’s true. The key is to show improvement as the season goes on. Particularly in conference games. This will give us a better idea of Wade’s coaching abilities. We already know he can recruit. Not judging by anything this season. Next year is the real test.
