LSU walk-on guard Henry Shortess received some great news on Thursday when coach Johnny Jones surprised the junior from Baton Rouge with a scholarship.

Man, I don't like LSU much but that was a great video. Kudos to that young man and kudos to LSU and their staff for rewarding hard work, effort and grit.

We have been 1 under the scholarship limit all season. I'm actually surprised this wasn't done earlier. I guess we were trying to get a midseason transfer.
