Stephen Lew-USA TODAY Sports
The LSU Basketball roster got a huge boost on Monday when three starters from last year's team announced that they are returning for the 2020-2021 season.
Forward Darrius Days was the first to announce Monday morning that he was withdrawing from the NBA Draft, followed by guard Javonte Smart in the afternoon.
According to Basketball Insider Adam Zagoria, talented freshman forward Trendon Watford will also be returning to Baton Rouge next season which gives LSU a loaded squad for 2020-2021. Watford later confirmed the news with a tweet of his own.
Watford, a former five-star prospect from Birmingham, Alabama, started in 30 of 31 games, averaging 13.6 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. He was also a member of the 2020 All-SEC Freshman team.
