SEC Basketball awards were announced on Tuesday and LSU sophomores Jordan Mickey and Jarell Martin were both named to the All-SEC first team.

Mickey was also named to the SEC All-Defensive Team.

You don't give it to him because he wasn't, accumulating blocks on the Stat sheet does not make you the DPOY. It helps your cause but it doesn't mean you are the best defender. Was he a good defender this year? Yes, but not the DPOY.
