LSU interim head coach Tony Benford wrapped up the Coaches Radio Show on Monday night by saying that freshman forward Naz Reid will be ready to go for the SEC Tournament after missing the season finale vs. Vanderbilt due to injuries. Per NOLA.com:
quote:

“Naz is ready to go,” Benford said. “He’ll be out at practice tomorrow (Tuesday). He’s excited to go. I spoke to him earlier today and he’s looking forward to getting out there.”

Reid took an elbow to the face against that Gators, resulting in bleeding, and was suffered from dehydration by the game’s end.
Benford did not provide an update on Javonte Smart's status.

LSU will play their first game in the SEC Tournament on Friday and face the winner of Arkansas vs. Florida.

Good news. I started to worry that the concussion was just a cover since he came back in the UF game after he got hit in the mouth.
