Former LSU guard Cam Carter will be joining the San Antonio Spurs at the NBA Summer League after going undrafted on Thursday night, according to reports. Per Nola.com:

The 6-foot-3 combo guard averaged 16.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game for LSU (14-18). He shot 42.5% from the field and 39.2% from 3-point range and played all 32 games, averaging the fourth most minutes in the Southeastern Conference (33.2).

In his one year with coach Matt McMahon, Carter increased his scoring average by two points and his 3-point percentage by nearly 10% from his junior season at Kansas State.

Happy for him. Didn’t seem to be super blessed with talent but worked and played harder than everyone else. A super consistent player. Good luck!

As a spurs fan, one thing we need is shooting. Would love to see him play well and get a camp invite.

Happy he got on a squad. I'm bummed because I was thinking he would be here next year for some reason.
