Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports
Sporting News released their way-too-early college basketball rankings for 2018-19 and pegged LSU at No. 13. Here's what they had to say.

13. LSU Tigers
In his second year as head coach, Will Wade is bringing in the type of recruiting class that changes a program’s status in its conference. LSU has’s No. 4 class nationally, including 5-star forwards Nazreon Reid and Emmitt Williams and 4-star recruits Darius Days and Je’Vonte Smart. If Tremont Waters, who averaged 15.9 points and 6.0 assists as a freshman, comes back? This team could really be special.
Top 13:
1. Kansas
2. Duke
3. Kentucky
4. Villanova
5. Virginia
6. Gonzaga
7. Oregon
8. Tennessee
9. Michigan
10. Michigan State
11. Auburn
12. North Carolina
13. LSU
